Gum Disease or Periodontal Disease

This is a disease of the supporting tissues of the teeth. Symptoms of gum disease are bleeding, mobility, movement or drifting of teeth, abscess formation, sensitivity or bad breath. Gum disease if detected earlier can prevent loss of teeth. At early stages of disease treatment is very simple; such as scaling and polishing of teeth together with meticulous home oral hygiene. Advanced gum disease is harder to treat and can be expensive.
